Little treats

This was part of my Bluewater/ Lakeside shopping spree. A few last minute things I didn't need at all - but oh well! I found this little treasure at Forever21 for £3.99!! I love the colour Jade at the moment and this chunky necklace will go with so much.

Forever 21, necklace - £3.99
This impulse buy was too good not to pass up. How adorable is this! I love the colour and the fact its got handles and an across the body one. You'll never guess where. Primark, £8! I quite liked how simple it was actually and for £8 you can't say no. Pair with a white shift dress and outfit's done!

Primark, Pastel Satchel - £8
I am a big fan of the Kate Moss lipsticks and this is no different! Such a lovely shade for summer. Goes on really easily but not matte. Is anyone loving my nails? I love this OPI Shade in Liquid Sand! Always gives me that holiday feeling!

ASOS, £3.89

Accidentally clicked on this on ASOS and whoops just happened to go into my shopping bag! I love these statement rings, especially something with a little bling! All for a purse friendly price of £2! They have some beautiful things on there 50% off sale as well! Get them before your size goes! (Mine basically have now...)

ASOS, Statement Ring - £2

I thought I'd invest in some make up brushes and I have been through dozens and dozens of reviews to find the perfect one! I went for the MAC 150 Large Powder brush and the Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush.

A lot of reviews about the MAC brush said the hairs come off a lot... Which they do. For the price of them you shouldn't think it would happen. But I've had it a while now and it's only happened at the start. I mainly use it for bronzing and blusher. It isn't as soft as I thought it was going to be but it does the job. I cannot praise enough for the Urban Decay brush though! It is instantly soft and i hardly have to use my foundation as it covers a lot of areas! I highly recommend it and absolutely worth it!
MAC 150 Powder brush - £34.50
Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush - £20

I'd love to hear some feedback so please say hello in the comment box below!

Katy Perry, Cape Verde and a Wedding

Sorry for the lack of posts guys, I've been extremely busy what with Katy Perry concerts (who was UNREAL!!), a stunning island called Cape Verde and an even more beautiful wedding.
Can I just go back and relive it please?

I know this has got nothing to do with fashion or beauty but look at the confetti!!! Katy Perry, you are one amazing woman.

Fast forward a few days later and it was holiday time! Not a lot of people have heard about Cape Verde, it's an small island just off of Africa. Its native name is Cabo Verde and their saying there is "No Stress". My word, it definitely lives up to the name. We stayed at Riu Garopa which is part of a duo hotel meaning the grounds were HUGE. If anyone needs inspiration - I highly recommend going there.
I unfortunately only have a couple of nice photos because I was too busy sunbathing and completely forgot to take pictures of outfits.. Sorry guys!

I wore the kimono I bought from h&m which definitely came in handy on a few nights outside. You know what, the little F+F across the body bag? What a great little bag that was!! Used it every night and because it was in neutral colours it went with everything!! Light, and big enough to even put a can of mozzy spray in there.

Kimono - H&M, Red dress - ASOS, Necklace - New Look, Bag - F+F, Shoes - Russell and Bromley "Can-Can"
Tom is wearing Ralph Lauren shirt, h&m shorts and Timberland boat shoes

Kimono - New Look, Embellished Top - Zara, Black High Waisted Skirt - ASOS

Thought i'd throw these photos out there to try and convince you to book a trip to this amazing place. Is it working?

With that, the wedding came round the corner and it was gorgeous. I wore the River Island dress I had my eye on (previous post) with a pair of Stuart Weitzman peep toe heels in nude and another New Look necklace.

Dress - River Island, Necklace -  New Look, Shoes - Stuart Weitzman "Logo Lille".
Tom is wearing H&M suit and Russell and Bromley loafers "Tassel".

And to end it with one of my favourite photos of all of us Brighton girls and of course the stunning bride!

River Island Monochrome

Morning everyone! It's been a horrible past few days in Brighton and I think everyone's been getting a bit safe with their colours again. I am loving the pastel this spring however this weather is not making want to wear any of my lovely new clothes! So, here are just a few monochrome things I've spotted on River Island that I am in love with! I have a few things going on in the distant future that I have to plan for: A hen party, leaving party and I'm sure the not-so-occasion drink some time in May and then a wedding in June.

The last dress from River Island I bought the other day and I'm really hoping it fits! It's for a wedding in June just after I come back from holiday so I'll be nice and tanned. Added with a block colour for shoes and handbag and I'm done! I thought it was a great dress to buy because it's something I can wear again because it's not too "wedding-y".

So as I'm writing this I'm on my way to London. Have all the fingers crossed for me guys!

Hope everyone has a lovely start to the week!

Interviews, Holiday and Make up

So I have an interview in a couple of weeks and I'm starting to plan a few outfits together otherwise I will panic or panic buy. Which is worse because my card does not forgive me.

If anyone is about in Tescos, go check out F&F. Seriously, you'll thank me. They have the loveliest clothes in there at the moment! If you're wallet conscience, don't worry - they're not breaking the bank. I unfortunately didn't have time to look at everything (that's what happens when you do Easter egg shopping on a weekend) but I picked up a couple of bits.

Top: Tescos £16, skirt: Asos (New Look) £17

Still in the midst of holiday shopping I spotted these adorable daisy shorts from New Look which I'm in love with! So easy to wear in Brighton when summer finally comes round the corner. Paired with white slogan tee and converse. Boom, beach outfit sorted. The bag is from Tescos for £5!! It's so cute! Really lightweight and has a zip. Low maintenance which is what you want on holiday! On to a winner here ladies!

Shorts: New Look (store) £14.99, Bag: Tescos £5

My friend told me that Superdrug were doing a lot of offers for their 50th anniversary and had a lot on offer for 50% (I'm pretty sure it is still going on). Well, me being me I ended up getting a 3 for 2 deal instead of anything for 50%... Typical. I'm very interested in the whole contouring business but I have yet to fully jump on the bandwagon. I've bought myself Benefit's Hoola Bronzer as a lot of people said this was the best one for bronzing with - however I am told I need to get some decent contouring brushes which are going to cost me an absolute fortune! NARS Ita kabuki brush ALONE is £43. My friends have told me that's a ridiculous price and I should not pay that for 1 brush. All the whilst it's currently sitting in my shopping bag... It's been sold out for months!! I'm very tempted!

Anyway.. Enough of waffle. The new Miss Manga from L'Oreal is great. I have Asian eyelashes so they are very short and very straight. With the help of my Kevin Aucoin eyelash curler it does make some difference haha. The wand is actually quite bendy compared to most. Lovely gradient on the brush too, so it's like a cone shape (I promise I will post a photo of the brushes). Great coating as well, I normally use 2 mascaras anyway so this is a good base coat. I then use my They're Real Benefit mascara on top. The Concealer True Match is absolutely brilliant. It's not at all heavy but has a substance to it which is what you want in a concealer really. Glides on easy and is great at covering dark circles and or imperfections. Love love love it. The Lumi Magique Highlighter is my only uncertainty. Not because I don't think its good. Only because of this whole contouring thing I haven't experimented with highlighters or anything like that! So like I said, once I get the whole shi-bang I'll let you know how it goes haha.

Concealer: True Match in 5 Sand - £6.99, Highlighter: Lumi Magique in Medium - £8.49,
Mascara: Miss Manga in Black - £8.99 All L'Oreal

That's all for the moment, I hope everyone has a fabulous long Easter Weekend!
Love,
Anna

Cheeky Payday Treats

I definitely went on a bit of a shopping spree... Whoops!
I finally bought that Olivia Burton watch I've been lusting over for months! I am absolutely in love with it. The face is a lot bigger than my Armani watch so I will have to get used to it but that is a very small nitch on a beautiful purchase! I bought this on ASOS so my friend kindly let me use her student discount for an extra 10% off. Shame there isn't a Olivia Burton shop or stockist in Brighton - would be very tempted to not go in and ogle at them all!

After coming to terms I wouldn't be able to buy the Zara Blue Mohair Jacket due to it selling out before it even reached the store in Brighton I was on the look out for a lightweight jacket in a pastel colour. Initially I wanted a block colour but a lot of them were the slightly wrong shade, wrong shape or ridiculously expensive (Burberry Prorsum I'm looking at you). WELL. Come payday, I was on a mission and looked in Zara and this gorgeous jacquard textured jacket was calling out my name. Very Chanel-like and a great cut on my petite frame (5"2). Oversized in a good way with three quarter length sleeves and four pockets. It has a thin lining inside which is what I was after so I could wear a light top underneath and not be too hot. I've been getting a lot of compliments on it which I'm very pleased with! I know it will be one to keep for many years as it's a very classic look and can wear throughout a Spring to Autumn.

 H&M Kimono £24.99

I've got two holidays coming up this year, both beachy and (hopefully) hot. When I went to Egypt last year I was very unprepared for the type of clothes to wear! I needed a cover up for the evening - the mosquitos loved my legs apparently. I love this ombre Kimono from H&M, the material is lightweight and long, quite loose on the body. Exactly what I've been after! I have enough bikinis but this floral design was too pretty not to buy! Comes with straps as well and is quite padded which gives you more of an illusion... If you know what I mean haha.

Love the colour of this River Island bikini in the sale from ASOS. What a bargain! Nothing fancy with this bikini but just the gold springs on the string and the cut outs on top and bottom! Hello holidays! I'm getting ready for you!
 Primark Travel set £4
Primark Large Cosmetic Bag £4

Following on from the holiday shop I picked myself up some travel goodies. The leopard print travel set was a bargain! You get a toiletries bag, shower cap and eye mask - all for £4! I do love Primark when it comes to things you think you don't need but you really do. The large cosmetic bag is purely because I seem to put my make up anywhere and everywhere whether it be in my actual make up box or in a draw... At least this way it's all together. And if i don't use it for that, it's a great size for a wash bag for shampoos, hair brushes etc.

Well that about sums it up! Happy April everyone! Enjoy the sunshine when you can!

Queensbridge Pastel

Walked past Hobbs the other day and spotted this gorgeous Queensbridge bag! I'm loving a lot of pastel colours at the moment mixed in with some metallic accessories. Lots of pinks, peaches, mint greens and baby blues. Really subtle Hobbs logo at the front which is very classic and doesn't draw a lot of attention to it. This type of bag you can really smarten up with a clean cut trench coat or you can go for a more casual look with a light weight, white summer dress and hat. May have to put this lovely structured bag on my wishlist!
Hobbs, Queensbridge handbag £199

Lovely surprises!

So, I get a text from Tom saying that he's bought me a surprise present. I had a few crappy days and this was for cheering me up. However, I was a litttttle skeptical of this present (I'm sorry Tom but I was a little!)... For the past 3 years I've had to email/ Facebook links/ tweet him what I would like (or in some very last minute buying- be there and physically point out the thing I want) so you can see why I was a bit nervous. But boy did he pull it out the bag!

He only went and bought this absolutely gorgeous Chanel hardback!! The best surprise present I've ever received! I haven't started reading it yet but there are some beautiful iconic images in there and I know I'm going to fall in love with Chanel. Watch this space, I'm going to be posting some glossy photos on here! So thank you so much, Tom!
